Google Sign-In — Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

This document explains how Google OAuth2 (“Google Sign-In”) is used across the services, applications, and platforms built and operated by Qvalento Solutions AB (“Qvalento”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It applies whenever you choose to authorize our project with your Google account to gain access to one or more of our services.

1. Scope of this policy

These terms are intentionally generic and cover every Qvalento service that offers “Sign in with Google” as a login option. When you authorize access, you may be granted access to one or several of our services under a single Google identity. The specific service you are signing in to is identified on the Google consent screen at the time of authorization.

2. We use Google Sign-In for login only

We use Google OAuth2 solely for authentication — that is, to verify who you are and to sign you in. The purpose is to make logging in easier by letting you use your existing Google account instead of creating and remembering another password, and to keep accounts safer by relying on Google’s secure, industry-standard authentication and optional two-factor protection.

We do not use Google Sign-In to read, send, delete, or manage any of your Google content, and we never take any action on your behalf within your Google account.

3. Information we access

When you sign in with Google, we request only the minimum information needed to identify you and create your account:

  • Your name (as set on your Google account)
  • Your email address
  • Your profile picture, if available
  • Your unique Google account identifier, used to link your login to your account with us

We request only the basic profile and email scopes. We never request access to sensitive or restricted scopes.

4. What we do not access

We do not request, access, or store any of the following:

  • Gmail messages or any email content
  • Google Drive files or documents
  • Google Contacts
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Photos
  • Your Google account password (this is never shared with us)

5. How we use your information

The information described above is used exclusively to:

  • Authenticate you and grant access to the relevant service
  • Create and maintain your user account
  • Display your name and profile picture within the service
  • Contact you about your account when necessary

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

6. Limited Use disclosure

Qvalento’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Data storage & security

The limited profile data we receive is stored securely and protected with appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit. Access is restricted to the personnel and systems required to operate the service. We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

8. Revoking access

You can revoke Qvalento’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page. Revoking access will prevent future sign-ins but does not automatically delete the account you created with us.

9. Data retention & deletion

You may request deletion of your account and the associated data we hold at any time by contacting us at consent@qvalento.com. Upon verified request, we will delete your personal data, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations.

10. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at consent@qvalento.com.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Google Sign-In after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
